Microsoft adds Copilot AI button, marking first major update to PC keyboard in decades #MSFT #AI

Microsoft's Copilot AI button will be featured on new Windows 11 PCs from ecosystem partners over the coming days leading up to and at the CES, with availability from late February, including upcoming Surface devices.

"The new key will invoke the Copilot in Windows experience to make it seamless to engage Copilot in your day to day," according to a blog post by Yusuf Mehdi, executive vice president, Consumer chief marketing officer.

Approximately three decades ago, the Windows key was introduced to the PC keyboard, allowing users to interact with the Windows operating system.

Among other features, Copilot assists users in generating images, composing content, and summarizing text with the help of AI.
