Was a DQ and should be ruled an NC by the BBBofC. Skeete was in a good position to see it through to the scorecards. Although I wasn't overly impressed by the fight I'd like to see Skeete get a rematch.

So let's see - the experienced fighter takes a big shot while under pressure uses his experience and takes the knee before taking the follow up shots to allow himself time and space to survive and the other guy can just land the big shot anyway!!!

Ricky Funez is actually Honduran-American and took over the Goosen gym. Previous charges of his include Casamayor and Corrales. Sheeraz is turning into a tall pressure fighter, definitely not a Hearns type. He’s not the first prospect to get a fortunate win or leniency for that matter.

I've never heard anyone mention Tommy Hearns and Hamza Sheeraz in the same sentence before. To me I think he tries to model himself on anthony joshua a bit if you watch his punch selection and technique, his structure and the way he steps to guys with the guard up there are a lot of similarities in that sense. Obviously he does not fight exactly as joshua, but it's there to see in large parts.

Whether the tide was turning in the fight or not, skeete shouldn't have had to suffer from the illegal punches. He might have made it to the end without the clean punches on the floor and picked up a points win. I definitely think it should be ruled a no contest. Its not even comparable to a couple of low blows. He could have got his wind back after those but who's to say how 2 clean shots to the head dazed skeete

Should have been ruled a DQ there and then for the illegal shots whilst skeete was down. Not the first time sheeraz has done this and not the first time this year Steve gray has let a fight continue when the fighter wasn’t in the position to go on. Could have been severely injured from them blows
