A bit confused here. When you are starting to split the photo and use the marque tool you get the marching ant around the first third and then say highlight it ? How do you highlight it because my PS just says I have no pixels are selected! What am I doing wrong?

So after the file is complete and I send it to print on canvas. Do they split the frames into 3 and print separately or do i have to send 3 separate images?
