Nice review, Weber fire starter cubes are way too expensive, I just pour a little 91% rubbing alcohol on the pellets and light. You will get to full burn in 1-3 minutes vs taking forever with fire starters. Plus alcohol will give you the absolute cleanest startup.

Honestly the backdrop is nice. What a great fancy house and waterfront property with grass and a pool to boot. You've made it to the big leagues.

I just bought a 3 pack of the little Mesa's at COSTCO for $119 I think a pretty good deal. I like the XL but have a Campfire so will keep the little's. They did come with pellet adapter and case.

I've had the smaller Mesa for about a year and it's pretty good, but just a tad bit too small. Plus, the smaller Mesa is REALLY affected by the smallest breeze (a moth could fly by the smaller one and almost blow it out). The XL seems to be more what I'm looking for when I want a fire, but don't feel like using my Bonfire. On a side note, the pellet adapter for the Bonfire is absolutley amazing! Just get cheap heating pellets from Menard's and you're good to go for about two hours with a consistently nice flame.

Great review! I have the Yukon 2.0 and the smaller Mesa. I love them both, used in Chicago. You have inspired me to get the Mesa XL for my Florida place. I read the comments and someone posted about using under a roof. You replied having a 12’ ceiling. Not sure how high mine is. I know taller than 9’. Either way. There is a heat detector that would hopefully prevent disperse the heat from going straight up.

Good video and description of what it’s like burning pellets in a solo stove!

For a longer burn time just add a small amount of pellets when the flame starts to die down. Sprinkle them across the top with a long handle steel scoop. Don't add too much at a time or it will snuff out the fire and produce a bunch of smoke until the pellets catch back on fire.

I just got the little Mesa. Looks like they changed the design to copy the Mesa XL. No more pellet adapter. Haven't tried it yet. Thinking I should return it and get the XL now.

Hi great video. Any idea on what the best type of pellets to use for minimum smoke

Just ordered one. The main question is did you get a jack to hook up? Should have made a video of that.

Just saw a sponsored suggestion while YTubing for dirty santa gifts 2024. Pretty cool lil stove.
I'd want something a tad bigger than that XL there. About the size of a 5gal bucket

Hey great video. Re the coating getting glossy after use….was that a permanent change or did it revert back after cooling?? Thank You. (great venue BTW)

Quick question regarding embers do you have any concerns with embers maybe starting a fire on the furniture cushions or other items neae the flame?

can you add more pellets to keep it going longer

How hot does it get underneath the Mesa XL? I’m assuming it shouldn’t be sitting on top of a wood picnic table.
