i’m somehow… both. denial in public, emotions at home. don’t suggest denying your emotions, you eventually crack while you’re in public and it’s the worst feeling still trying to hide it.

the person who is “immersed” in their feelings will probably be able to recover and forgive a lot quicker and easier, they are in their greif but they are showing it and that will make it easier for them to communicate with people who can help them. the other person will keep on shoving away those and will never truly recover.

This is so accurate. I had a breakup over a year ago and I remember being in denial and all my emotions being so messed up bc the person whom I trusted the most, who I relied on for anything, was now gone from my life. I remember all those nights when I cried and I remember the day the breakup happened like it was yesterday. It’s still painful to remember even tho I’m over it.

The one that avoids her feelings ends up hurt even more because when you feel everything you have to feel even if it hurts you’re able to move on and heal "faster". When you avoid your feelings you have to get through the healing process twice and it sucks way more (realizing the denial we were stuck in hurts so much)

people who feel everything are able to recover quicker, because they let their feelings out. People who avoid their feelings end up taking much longer to recover because they don't let their feelings out.
