First Off the Grid battery powered welder.

Testing out the ACO Lion Welder.
Stick / ARC / MMA TIG welder.
Being a stick welder you can get a manual tig torch and TIG weld with a scratch start.

Charges in 3 hours and can run (35) 3.2mm [1/8"] rods.
I ran 35 and it only dropped the battery to 50%.
Comes with a 2.4kW hr battery capacity.

Wow, now I've seen everything. I suppose this is the way of the future. And the capabilities aren't even bad at all, especially considering it welds off of freaking batteries! 🤯🤯🤯

This is exciting. Seems to compare well against the low-end engine-driven welders, and at 1/4 to 1/2 the weight, for each of these two models, respectively.

Should have a 120/240 power cord receptacle anyway so we can use both on and off grid!

All well and good for right now. What do you do in 8 years when the batteries won't charge anymore and the company is defunct?

Meanwhile my corded welders will still be running, and my little Honda generator powers my smaller ones just fine. Granted, it's nowhere near as convenient, but they fit in my tractor bucket just fine.

I also have a little 1500w inverter that powers my smaller welders right off the tractor battery if it's a quick job.

Off grid? You plugged it into the grid to charge it.

I'd like to know what battery cells they use.

And what I find odd is they are using an Arduino board for the controller?!?
