Ryan, your approach to this series should be commended.

It's a wonderful combination of hobbyist methodology mixed with the appropriate underlying scientific concepts. Which as you like to say, is a likley path to success. All too often, it's not enough just knowing something has been successful, it's also critical to understand why. If you don't understand why; you can't tweak it, you can't troubleshoot an issue, or adapt it to another scenario. But your framework for this series seems to deliver the Why in an easily digestible format.

Second, the sheer number of tanks showing diversity of species, intentional themes, and distinct aesthetics serves as a wonderful example to hobbyist. It's not the same mixed reef over-and-over, which can certainly be beautiful, but also becomes repetitive. Instead your showing the breadth of the hobby, in formats people can invision in there homes.

I’m intrigued by the UPS backup battery. How is that working so far? Has anyone else tried this?

What are you guys using in these systems as a backup power supply to the return pump? I personally would never run a tank without this. You can have all the monitors in the world but if the power goes out and your return pump doesn’t keep running you could be screwed. It’s important to keep water running through the whole system.

Can you submerge half of the UV body in water (for Aqua UV brand)?? If so we need more info on that-would be a game changer simplifying installation
