In our tradition of Birthdays.... Firstly we would buy something for all our kids.
At birthday parties it's not tradition here to open the gifts in front of others. They stay wrapped until guests leave. This is so others won't be jealous. I thought this was weird at first when I came here from the US. But after it was explained, I thought it was an excellent tradition.

When my kids were young and there was someone’s birthday I was buying a gift to the other children if I had the opportunity . Or a big one for all the children so they can play together. So no one was jealous and there were happy to have a party together and each birthday was the birthday of all . But if it occurs that the one’s birthday had a special gift it was a great opportunity for them to understand that each one has his turn and to teach patience and to teach them to be happy for what the other received but they knew that the gifts were mostly given for the eids . And nowadays we are just eating a nice cake and have fun 🤗And so they didn’t focus so much and make a big deal of theirs birthdays .

Christians are taught to seek first the kingdom of heaven. And to love the Lord you're God with all you're heart. Put God first and love God more than you're parents.

SubhanAllah! Adding Islamic theology to Birthdays, actually enhances the fun. Who knew?

We get to celebrate, and another opportunity to celebrate with others by giving gifts to children that don't have what we have.

Also preventing jealously amongst children, is so beautiful. Let's hope parents listen to this lecture, instead of enhancing jealously with their children, just so parents can get the thrill of feeling "important". 🤨

This marriage of younger daughter before elder daughter is not an issue. If they say they want to marry the younger one, no issue. The issue arises when they come for the elder one, and then kind of are looking at her sisters, and then select on of the younger one. Also, sometime sisters want to prove a point, and make sure the boy is distracted when he comes to see the elder one. This world is not so straight as it seems.

The earliest mention of birthdays are in the Torah the Old Testament which states pharaoh birthday is being celebrated with a moon shape cake . Then other mentions are about the moon goddess arthemes which Egyptians used to worship and they would light candle and make a wish to the goddess . The satanic bible also mentions about birthday being one of the most important day for the devil to celebrate . Overall it’s a pagan celebration and we should not celebrate it as Muslims even Christians and Jews should obstain from it

Every worldly action that gives some form of pleasure, also will have some level of a negetive effect.. so how does one know if that is bad, many things we do today were not things done 1, 400 years back. Things like having a phone, youtube, using a computer, playing online games, the list is so long.. even riding a motocycle.. i grew up enjoying birthdays, and alot of things which today is seen as sin. Some videos show certain origins being of pegan, or say the fact i was taught to say "Sadaka Allah hul alleem", was found to have no referrence to the original teachings. Im not saying are we going overboard, but it is dividing many muslims over what is right and wrong.

Maybe we need more awareness on how muslims countries treat other muslim countries, how certain refugees are treated, and why borders are closed to our bretheren, how countries own econimic issues causes the governent to blame its neighbour or a refugees or even poor workers residing as the problem. I think more videos should talk about these issues.

I hope i didnt offend anyone..

Sadly, he failed to address this pagant ritual, which was very closely followed by pharaoh and his followers. You dont need to be qualified to say this, infact he is well qualified and on top, saying it's not his department.
Check out Uthman from one message foundation, giving all evidence to say it's not part of islam. In fact, even Christian scholars have said to sray away from this evil practice.
Speak up the truth, brother Nauman Ali Khan

Who says birthdays are banned in Islam . Neither the Quran or hadeeth . Then all celebrations including independence day celebrations should be banned

Instead of saying stuff like it's bidah and this and that. People should explain the historical origin of birthday rituals

This commentary is silly. Jealousy is sinful in nature. Birthdays don't change that. Then why celebrate anything including marriage. That usually creates more drama and jealousy. Because you can't find a reasonable excuse other than Muslims scholars deem it off rules don't try and make children look dumb. I don't know any child waiting for their next celebration after having one. Bdays aren't offensive nor are they elevating the person. XMAS is celebrating the birth of Christ. Christians are exhalting God as a savior but are celebrating the birth worldwide. Muslims are not celebrating those holidays anyways. But if you don't feel happy that you made it another year then why celebrate death?
And when you are born parents and family rejoice. Same concept.
Islam can view it one way fine but to say it has a negative impact on children and religion is absurd. Does divorce have a negative impact? Yet people do it. Does having multiple wives yet children are subjected to it?

Please donot use baseless logic to justify your ignorance...every little child enjoy whosever birthday it is...by your logic.. people should stop marrying...coz u know some other guy will feel jealous...oo I am so unlucky..I am so under privileged...i am unable to marry...stop justifying some Hadith whose authenticity is in doubt just because some of your mulla u following perched u that... believe in teaching of ISLAM and the prophet with little bit help of your brain what the almighty gave you....ISLAM allows you every happiness in the world until you r not doing sirk...

Sadly when we think about our Birth day, we don't think of our parents sometimes. The " womb that bore us" we must make a dua when we have live our entire life if we see it by Allah's will. " We have commanded people to honour their parents. Their mothers bore them in hardship and delivered them in hardship. Their ˹period of˺ bearing and weaning is thirty months. In time, when the child reaches their prime at the age of forty, they pray, “My Lord! Inspire me to ˹always˺ be thankful for Your favours which You blessed me and my parents with, and to do good deeds that please You. And instil righteousness in my offspring. I truly repent to You, and I truly submit ˹to Your Will˺." 46. 15 Note we are always our parents child, no matter the age. We just don't Think
