It was so rad to hear Tim come in and play these songs acoustically in our Guitar Center Hollywood store; two Rancid songs and a very special cover song. If these songs aren't stuck in your head after watching them, you need to watch them again!

Tim Armstrong is the Bob Dylan of punk rock. Such a unique voice and amazing lyricist and storyteller.

Armstrongs voice can trick the amygdala into feeling stressed and the autonomic nerves system then releases epinephrine. Much like the fight or flight. As a boy I just loved to skate to opp ivy and as a man I like to run and paddle to it. What a powerful voice and man Armstrong developed into.

That "heard the freeway fall" line really sticks with me. I lived in San Jose when the '89 'quake happened.

Tim is just an awesome man that helped me from homeless to entrepreneur. He provides a simple view into the life of a punk rock individual. I'm tatted, I'm clean, my wit is sharp and mean. But a young punk man singing from the east bay taught me one ya lose me.... ya lose a good thing. That's one thing I know for sure. 😊

There is always talk about Tim's guitar playing and doubts he could even play because on stage he rarely plays. Ever listened to an Operation Ivy Album? better yet played Op Ivy stuff on guitar. Tim hold mystery within his talent, part of who he is when he plays live is what makes him who he is. He doesn't speak much on stage other then to sing, he's a quiet poet with more talent then I could ever dream of.

Another east bay night
East bay night
East bay night
East bay night
When the sun goes down
And the night come around
And the fog come a rolling in,
When you cast a line
To go dance one time
And an old friend invites you in,
Hear a punk rock song
And we sing along
Everything gonna be alright
Another east bay night
East bay night
East bay night
East bay night
Well gramma stands on
The very same land
On the old house
Up on the hill,
You can see the San Francisco bay
Alcatraz Albany landfill,
And reminisce on the front porch
Under a yellow light
Another east nay night
East bay night
East bay night
East bay night
Earthquakes shake…
