André Rieu Live in Vienna (Full Concert)

Live in Vienna, a concert with André Rieu on the square in front of the imperial Hofburg Palace in the heart of Vienna, is 135 minutes of pure pleasure for the eyes and ears. It includes superb compositions from the most famous Viennese composers against the background of the most beautiful, stylish scenery you can possibly imagine. The Johann Strauss Orchestra and Choir were joined in this wonderful concert by the Ballet of the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna debutantes from the Elmayer Dance School, the Platinum Tenors, the sopranos Dagmar Koller, Carmen Monarcha, Carla Maffioletti, Mirusia Louwerse and Suzan Erens, and the interpreter of the traditional Viennese song, Karl Moik.

I really think Andre Rieu deserves the Nobel Prize for making people round the world happy, eencouraging good will, understanding, optimisam,cheerfulness and of course the beauty of music and art in general. I am 81 and love watching Andre Rieu repeatedly. My husband was 80 when he passed away from 5 dementias and loved watching Andre Rieu until he took his final breath. Thank you for providing the music and dancing that people with dementia can still enjoy for all their life even when they have forgotten everything else and were helpless to do anything else. My Mum passed away this week she loved andre rieu she even got to see you live and every Christmas I buy her the latest DVD every time I listen to your music I will think of her

I've actually been watching this very show with my grandmother on DVD the last few days. We live in the States, Andre was starting to pick up popularity over here in the late 90s/early 00s, and my grandmother saw him on PBS -- what a gift that turned out to be. We went to many shows, she always managed to get us front row center, she adored those shows so much, as did I -- our first show being at the University of New Hampshire. Many of those early shows we shared a hotel with them, and once my cousins and I rushed down to meet them in the lobby. My grandmother was so mad, but they were all so lovely and kind, I think back now and believe it probably warmed their hearts a bit to see such young ones enjoy their music. My grandmother unfortunately has developed Alzheimer's/dementia over the last few years, but I don't think she'll ever forget the way Andre and the rest of the orchestra made/makes her feel. Thank you all so much for being amazing 💗🎶

This is my first day of listening to Andre Rieu, and I can imagine that he brings great joy to listeners. He is a bit of a showman, but so too was the great Franz Liszt. There is a serious side to his art too... all the hours of practice that the public never gets to see. The world needs more classical music, now more than ever. Hopefully Mr Rieu can be the bringer of classical music to homes all over the world.
