Panzer Tire Insert [Update and Thoughts]

So after some initial testing with the PANZER tire insert I thought you might like to hear my thoughts on this tire insert. This is only a short video, but hopefully it will help guide you a little if you're thinking about purchasing a foam insert for your own mountain bike.

Thx for sharing, well done. I am currently using cush core, no problems. But I haven't heard of this product before.

Had the EXACT same thing happen to me. Long time cushcore user. Thought this would be the same, actually protect my rim. But first ride and at slightly higher pressure than cushcore. My rim is now destroyed on my new bike. I feel like the wedge shape just rolled the insert away from the rim when I needed it.

That's a shame, and probably why we've never heard of Panzer. Didn't absorb much of the impact. Having said that, it still would have been better than not having one at all. The impact might have completely destroyed the rim had there been just air in the tyre.

Sorry, but I've been using Panzer for a 3 months in my two bikes enduro and downhill, and I've never had a similar problem. In fact, my friends also wear it and we take the pressure of the tire very low and without problem. I feel your experience, but something strange must have happened.

Considering CC for the rear my self or is just a Super Gravity type tyre as good you think ?

Im running Nobl carbon rims and 85kilo geared up.

Do shit my pants when I hit rock gardens but so far no issues .

My concern is puncturing with the CC. Heard they a mare to remove on a trail ?

I do carry plugs but can always tear a casing.

That is your mistake. Too low preasure. Ride bit higher presure and you will be fine
