What was the case verdict? How long did he get sentenced too?

How did they get a warrant to tap his mother's phone? Is it constitutional to bug the phones of suspects' relatives? What was the probable cause?

That's the problem with these "clips", they often leave out important details. What was the killer's sentence? Presumably life. But the clip doesn't tell us.
