Speakers:
Rafael Sotelo is Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Montevideo.
He has a PhD in Engineering (University of Vigo), Electrical Engineer (University of the Republic) and MBA (IEEM-University of Montevideo).
He is Co-Founder and President of the start-up Quantum-South.
He is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of the Republic.
He worked for more than 25 years in technology and telecommunications companies and government.
He obtained the recognition "Uruguayan Scientist with extensive experience" from the Ministry of Education and Culture in December 2019. He is a member of the National System of Researchers, of the National Academy of Engineering of Uruguay and Senior Member of IEEE.
He is an active volunteer in IEEE, integrating management positions at the national and international level.His research areas include Quantum Computing, Video Quality of Experience, and Industrial and Social Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Technology.

Davide Corbelleto is a distinguished quantum specialist and team leader @ Intesa Sanpaolo. He is a mathematician with nearly twenty years of professional experience in computer science. Prior to joining the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in 2016, he held the position of Senior Technical Advisor for several international firms, banks, and insurance companies. His role involved the management of digital transformation projects, primarily focused on the following areas: the design of reliable data architecture, the promotion of distributed and cloud computing adoption, the implementation of scalable machine learning solutions, and the broader introduction of cutting-edge products, services, and technologies. In 2020, he assumed responsibility for the newly established Quantum Competence Center within the Data, AI & Technology Area of the Bank.
