Shark’s Ace is most definitely Number 32: Shark Drake. It gets the Summoning Animation in Duel Links, it gets a Chaos variant upgrade, he gets a ton of moments talking with the monster, that’s his Ace. Nash, on the other hand, has 2 Aces. Before he became a Barian, back in ancient times, his Ace was Number 73: Abyss Splash. However, as the leader of the Barian Warlords, his Ace is Number 101: Silent Honor ARK. Pretty much all the other Barians work like that, too. They have an ace Number monster as a human, then an ace Number monster as a Barian.

There’s a reason Utopia is my picture, Yuma is favourite Yu-Gi-Oh! character of all time, so Utopia is my favourite monster. A close 2nd favourite character but my favourite rival is easily Kite.

10:44 For Nash his Ace is most likely Number 101 Silent Honor Ark since he usually goes to summoning it and perhaps his boss is the upgraded XYZ Chaos form of that monster Silent Honor Dark

In some duels, Nash just uses Rank Up magic “The seventh one” to easily bring out Chaos 101 Silent Honor Dark so either 101 form could be his ace/boss

Would have though Gagaga Magician would be Yuma's personal ace, as he's had it as his focus card from day one and eventually crafts his deck around it. Utopic Future & Gagaga Cowboy would be more like personal boss monsters, as he doesn't have that much else in his ED that isn't some kind of other utility (One-Eyed Skill Gainer, Gauntlet Launcher, Heroic Champion - Excalibur, the Djinns, etc) because Number Monsters are out of the picture, that all goes to Astral apart from UF.

Also, for Shark, I can see Shark Drake getting the spot but a strong contender is Black Ray Lancer, as it's the card that gets all the upgrades and takes up more a chunk of his time as a duelist. Like I don't see Shark Drake getting XYZ armour and getting shot out of a fishy cannon.

I'd argue that Number 39: Utopia was Astral's ace as it's the one Number he still had with him when he joined Yuma and it is the focus of his Deck when he duels without Yuma (including ranking up into Utopic Dragon). For Yuma I'd probably go for Rainbow Kuriboh as it is the card he falls back on when he is forced to fight alone. It is also a card that used to belong to Yuma's father.

10:06 there's a mistake there, Vetrix isn't in Duel Links he is confirmed to come to the game, and there's a little detail if we consider DL Trey's ace is actually Number 6: Chronomaly Atlandis which makes more sense since it's the number he upgrades to Chaos

As much as Yuma gets flak for only using Utopia more than other Numbers, there are two big reasons why I’m personally not against it.

1. Telling Yuma to not using Utopia is the same as telling Kite and Zane to stop use Galaxy Eyes and Cyber End Dragon. It’s his Ace Monster (and Astral’s).
2. It makes Yuma being forced to fight Utopia in the final duel with Astral much more impactful.

2:21 I think Yuma got Gagaga Cowboy way later down the line after Yuma got Utopia. So I don’t count Cowboy (or any Xyz Monsters that isn’t Utopia or Utopic Future).

He does have Heroic Champion - Excalibur that was given to him though. If you want to count him.

7:07 Considering that Anna would get a Number Card and an evolved form of Gustav Max, Anna ended up being more popular than I thought, because I honestly don’t like her that much.
10:51 Many people wish Yuma used more Numbers like Shark, but Shark is more complex character than Yuma. Yuma on the other hand is more of a simple character.

That’s why Yuma sticks with Utopia the most why Shark has many Ace Monsters. I think Black Ray Lancer is his definitive ace. As he use it in the final duel with Yuma even as Nasch.

A lot of people would say Number 101 is Nasch's ace but I'd say it is Abyss Splash. It is his Mytherian Number and is used in more duels than Number 101. He even uses it along with Zexal's Utopia to defeat Don Thousand's Number iC1000 which had 100k ATK and an effect by detaching 1 material that was essentially Draining Shield. His ultimate boss monster is Barian Hope though so maybe Number 101 is.

With Shark, his ace changes many times throughout the series. First it was Back Ray Lancer until he got Shark Drake. After the WDC, Shark rarely duelled, he just kinda hung out but when he did duel, he used Shark Drake. Then he got his previous life’s ace monster Abyss Splash. This was his original ace when he was an ancient king and he used it to defeat Vector in a shadow duel. I would argue Abyss Splash remained his ace card with Silent Horror Ark being his ace boss monster and Barian Hope being the final boss monster.

Okay now this. This is peak Yugioh nostalgia for me, Utopia being summoned for the first time will forever be ingrained into my mind, same for Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon

In Tag Force Special & World Duel Carnival(not too sure here, just going off on my number archetype research), Tori's Ace monster is Number 49: Fortune Tune
Edit: in Tag Force Special: Nistro's Ace is Number 86, and (in the manga) Mr. Heartland's ace is Number 82: Heartland Draco

11:25 well...the tachyon dragon being the counterpart and the complementary monster to the photon dragon is a major plot in Zexal tbh (and I love both of them)

As for Shark vs Nasch. The thing about the Barian lords is that all of their aces were the number monsters that were over number 100. Nasch's was Number 101: Silent Honor Ark.
The other things you may not have known, is that they also technically had aces that you almost never see them play, but is significant to them for story reasons.
Nasch Human form - Number 73: Abyss Splash
Dumon Human form - Number 44: Sky Pegasus
Marin Human Form - Number 94: CrystalZero
Vector Human Form - Number 65: Djinn Buster
Alito Human Form - Number 54: Lion Heart
Girag Human Form - Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu

Basically, the Barian lords had human lives before becoming Barian lords, but have no memory of this. So as far as they know, they have always been Barians. These unique number monsters actually reminded them of their pasts. When fighting against them, they were shows the altered past that Don thousand inflicted upon them, just for the sake of making them barian lords to help his revival. But when they were defeated by them, they were shown the whole truth, seeing how their reason everything they were was wrong. Seeing the truth that Don Thousand had tricked them this whole time. The only one that actually wasn't tricked was Nasch. He was close companions with most of them in life, and had a heroic and noble death, which even Astral noted should have sent him to the Astral world (heaven). Nasch CHOSE to be a barian to be with his fallen comrades. Now, the reason Nasch and Marin reincarnated as Shark and Ryo is becuase of Vector. Vector basically knocked them off their throne with his tricky ways and this somehow made them human again. (This is where i honestly start to lose what in the world happened here, as it's wierd)

SO Before the show even started. Shark and ryo were current incarnations of Nasch and Marin, they existed at the same time while Nasch and Marin were in the Barian world. Shark and Ryo had a terrible car accident (should note that they were young kids as the time) and actually died, but this happened roughly at the same time that Nasch and Marin were tricked by vector and knocked down. This somehow lead them to possessing their current incarnations' bodies(?) and just lived as Shark and Ryo for a while. Then through some careful observation from Dumon, he realized that his energy was weird and figured out that Shark must've been Nasch, who they ahd been looking for some time, as they didn't know that Vector was the reason they disappeared in the first place.

Just to give you a nudge. I promise from a writing and narrative stand point start to finish ZEXAL is the best series Yugioh produced.
The OG is fun, GX is nostalgic for many people, and 5Ds has a lot going for it it, but despite how annoying Yuma can be watch him and shark through to the end. It’s quite well written.

I would actually say that yuma's ace is GAGAGA magician, as it stays with him and is the core of the gagaga arcatype allowing hik to make his plays, and astral's ace us utpoia. The final ep really shows this as yuma uses magician to start his plays whereas astral uses utpoia.

For Shark/Nash, his ace is definitely Shark Drake, but as Nash, it's number 101 Silent Honor Ark, and I suppose to a lesser extent number 73 Abyss Splash. And if needed for a future video, Nash's boss is either C101 Silent Honor Dark or Cxyz Barian Hope.

Roku’s ace monster is Arcana Knight Joker, in the anime when Yuma is about to run away from his friends and family to save the world, Roku stops him and challenges him to a duel, showcasing Fusion summoning in the anime for the first time by using King’s, queen’s, and Jacks knight to make Arcana knight joker, it’s his only extra deck card from what I have seen.
