Don't take off at us for the watermark. That is the sole reason we can carry this footage here for it would otherwise be IPR purloined and placed onto multiple other platforms, ruining our opportunity to bring you an exclusive on this rare occurrence from nature!

Surely one of the most fantastic natural history sequences ever recorded in the annals of wildlife filmmaking! This is the FIRST EVER sequence of a wild Snow Leopard actually making a kill on camera, and what fabulous gymnastics and callisthenics to boot!

Do note the behaviour that you might otherwise miss. It allows us to do even more justice to this fascinating footage, especially as it’s been shot in 4K. There is a lot going on here that we don’t notice on first glance - for example, the way the Bharal still has the strength to attempt to pull itself away from the Snow Leopard, just after the first stage of the fall, and the manner in which the dexterous big cat is able to maneuver its body to help it survive. This footage tells us a lot about the two animals in terms of behaviour and physiology. What drama from the Himalaya!

Not exactly another day in the life of a Snow Leopard, but this young female Snow Leopard, while bruised and battered a tad, returned to feed on the Bharal kill and fully recovered to move on, and continue its unique way of life in the high Himalaya. Hopefully, she will have cubs this year, too. We will follow her and let you know of developments in her life...

Wait, wait, wait a minute.... do my eyes deceive me or did that leopard not only survive that fall, but held on to the sheep the whole time as well? What the hell these things made of, carbon fiber?

The best part is how the snow leopard doesn't even consider hitting the brakes before yeeting itself and the goat off that cliff. It's like "nah that's a future me problem".. Even the goat was like nope this jump is suicidal - then it gets hit in the face by a big furball of frenzy

No wonder snow leopards are so rare...

I have never seen anything like this, how they weren't killed on the first impact is beyond me . Let alone the both of them cartwheeling and slamming into jagged rocks not snow, brutal .
At the end you can see that the leopard was bracing the sheep and itself from further falling . Absolutely stunning .

Just the fact alone a snow leopard was filmed is crazy. But doing this! Priceless.

this is on 1st episode of hostile planet, the leopard got messed up a bit but lived and mated with a female within a week of this

The cat lived. You can see that even in free fall the superior athletic ability of the cat allowed to bounce, roll and flick whilst also holding on to the prey. Amazing!

Wow! I have serious respect for the snow leopard's strength. To be able to still hold onto his prey through such a long fall is incredible.

I figured half way down that both sheep and leopard had to be dead yet near the end I see that the leopard still has hold of the sheep and is in complete control. Toughest. Cat. Ever.

Amazing. Even more incredible is the fact that halfway through tumbling down the cliff the snow leopard changes his bite/grip from the sheep’s back legs and switches to it’s neck. Look closely at 1:21

The Snow Leopard is the MOST impressive of all the big cats to me after watching this footage.

It held onto the sheep that entire fall down after bouncing off all those rocks. I'm impressed. 😯😯😯

what I find amazing is that both those animals took that fall and were still fighting at the bottom incredible

I have seen jaguars ambushing caiman, leopards diving off a tree, tigers using incredible stealth tactics, lions doing teamwork, but this snow leopard hunt is just another level, pun intended. Never saw a more badass hunt than this.

India has amazing wildlife.

I love how that Ibex sees the cliff ledge, slows, and the leopard just goes full send and straight up rugby tackles it off the edge. Then during freefall it lets go, curls around, and kills it with a bite to the throat.

I know prey is hard to come by for those leopards, but god damn that's some commitment. "I either die or I eat like a king"

That snow leopard is a trained stuntman whose been doing this for 30 years. I see him at the union meetings all the time.
