This was an interview over 17 years ago, when Liberia was said to be the poorest in the world, 2003 to 2007.
It is not the poorest anymore, and is quickly improving to get out of that 10 poorest in 2 years. From the first middle income black country in 1978 to the poorest in 2003. That's how low Liberia fell . War isn't good.

Religious Bigotry. Injustice. Inequality. Oppression of the Poor. Lack of Compassion on the Poor. Lack of Infrastructures. Lack of Education. Insecurity. High Unemployment rates. etc.
