HQ 5x4.3x3 V1S Prop - Mini Review

Wow!! These props are nuts. As you know I'm learning acro. These feel like I gained a month of progress when I put them on 20 minutes ago. There crazy agile. There also extremely efficient. There a little slow so I'm having the hardest time choosing these over the hq 5x5x3 props that I really like. I might have more fun with the 4.3 when it comes to whipping and diving. The 5x5x3 handle excellent but not as good. I ordered the 5x4.8x3 to see if that's the sweet spot. These hq props are way more efficient than anything I'm used to. I have experience with the dal 5050C and 5046C. I'm really only use to high pich props. Now that I fly acro I'm starting to enjoy less aggressive props like these 5x4.3x3. Just blown away by how much grip and control they have. Very windy today and I noticed with less aggressive pich props the wind pushes me around more. I see why HQ has such a loyal fan base. They won me over. Take care

I dig the frame, wish the battery didn't have to sit sideways tho. I wonder if the square r-lines would be a better fit, and considering that bodies are getting smaller, if other companies will start going version with that profile

3rd week practicing acro. Making progress, Definitely will never be going back to stabilized mode. I have a set of these 5x4.3x3 on the way. Been learning acro using hq 5x5x3. These should help my journey getting me where I want to be. Have a good week Kabob. Thanks for all of your help

I just tried these out yesterday and really like them. I've heard rumors that they are a bit stiffer than the original V1s but I cant tell by hand. I can tell in the air though, the original V1s had a tendency to resonate at certain rpms if hanging out around mid throttle trying to get them to resonate. With these new 4.3s I can't get them to resonate! They fly very similar to the OG 5x4x3's...these are my new favorite!

only good thing about the 5x4x3 glass nylon is it's ability to stand up to crazy rpm / thrust (6s). Almost all durable props on 5s or 6s seem to flatten out and/or explode :-( makes me so sad because there's really some awesome flying durable props out there. Some of the stiffer durable props like the cyclone / 5152 / gemfan 5045hbn seem to do great on 5s though, but I've still had them resonate / flatten out on 6s. I really hope companies figure out a way to make durable props hold up better at crazy high rpm

Is this frame basically a floss with an extra stand-off and a more 'standard' top plate? I like that you can top mount it but still have the weight reduction.

How did you get into fpv and mini quads in general? I picked it up from my curiosity and love of RC cars from my earlier years. Don't know of anyone who also enjoys this hobby.

Wow! This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for! I've tried original V1S 5x4x3 and .... I'm not sure how to put it in words but I just wasn't impressed or more like pleased with the way it felt, but it's SUPER durable (I've had one of the blades literally cut halfway through and still pulled like a minute flight out + safe landning). On the other hand I love the quad version - for me personally for close proximity flights it is the best prop so far. It really looks like 4.3 version gonna be my go to prop for majority of my attempts to freestyle!!!
P.S.: also looking forward to try new Cyclones for the "power", V2s r #@% awesome!

Why yes the 5x4x3 will break if you look at it wrong. Lol. Got a brand new set the other day put them on got up in the air and I think I hit a mosquito and broke a prop lol. Was still able to land, but what really sucked it was only after being up for about 10 seconds. Ugh.

Have you compared them to the RTK 5040x3? I really like those due to their ruggedness.
