Israel 'sending away African migrants' - BBC News

The BBC has gathered evidence that Israel is sending unwanted African migrants to other countries under secretive deals which may be in breach of international law. The Israeli government refuses to name the third countries involved in the deals, but the BBC has spoken to people who say they were sent to Rwanda and Uganda.

I don't understand those so called refugees. There are dozens of safe countries in Africa, even safer than Israel. Why do they not move there. Wouldn't it be more convenient?

I lived one year in Israel. many migrants from Africa want to live in Israel, but this is very small country and migrants don't want to work, they want only receive money and free flats ( without paying money)

Many Israelis are open to having Africans move to Israel. Sure there are some xenophobic Israelis but many Israelis have an open heart and welcome the migrants. Word is that Israel will become an open state like New York.

There are lots of jobs in Israel for Africans to take and contribute to the Israeli economy.

Africans are welcome in the state of Israel.

Is it me or does the media just conveniently miss out key questions?  I mean, to get to Israel they have to pass right the way through the Egypt.  Then I believe through Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain have resettled 'zero' refugees.  Saudi Arabia looks like 10 times bigger (and richer) than Israel.  I'm not trying to pick faults with any country or people but I just don't understand why they miss out the key questions everyone is asking.

Every country has a right to protect its border and should not be forced or criticized for standing its grounds, I love my country Kenya and As an african i feel embarrased on behalf of the asylum seekers who dont get it, "we are unwanted " i don't see myself forcing to be where am needed . Africans we should stay in our continent and develope our countries.

Am I seeing an anti-jewish bias in this report? As far as I can see the Israeli's are being extremely smart in how they're handling this situation. As someone else mentioned Israel is an extremely small state with enough problems to deal with. These so-called refugees are looking for a better life. You constantly notice that they're young men without wife or children, so obviously they're not fleeing a war zone. I'd send them packing too.

Sure. We're paying them 3, 500$ each to agree to leave (and I guess a similar sum to the country who accepts them). And so should you. By the way, the UN refugee convention allows it.

Why is this Israel's problem? Notice how all the immigrants always bring up what they were "given", or not. Always looking for a free ride. Same in Europe

Funny you show up illegally in a country and expect that country to give you stuff. If i was Israel i would'nt even let you go to jail your ass would get thrown out ASAP. Migrants go home! Apply legally in your own country thru an embassy, if you need emergency help go to Saudi Arabia
