The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Pop-up book by Robert Sabuda

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: A Commemorative Pop-up by Robert Sabuda is one of our favorite pop-up books. This wonderful and amazing edition celebrates the 100th anniversary of the original Wizard of Oz publication by L. Frank Baum. A pop-up book that contains the short version of Baum's original story and beautiful artwork in the style of W.W. Denslow.

I have this beautiful book. As a 2nd grade teacher, I read the novel to my class every year and when we get to the page in this pop-up we explore it together. Then I let them draw their own version. The kids always love this.

I thought the 1st page was an attention getter then I saw castle with glasses and the balloon almost blew my mind ; ).. The creativity and engineering of these books is awe inspiring to all ages.
