Zoom Allow only Registered Email to Join Meeting

Zoom Registrations now allows you to enforce that only the registered email account can join a meeting or webinar. This is a function of Zoom 5.9.3, that allows you to configure a meeting in such a way that if someone registers for one of your meetings or webinars, and they forward the link to someone else, that person cannot join the meeting, but instead can join themselves using their own account.

Only the people that register, are approved - either automatically or manually - can join the meeting or webinar AND they must use the email they registered with. This is an awesome feature. In the past, people would join meetings where registration was required but didn't register but had the meeting link, or they registered and they could use a different email than the registration email.

This is a Zoom security feature that only works in paid accounts that ensures only those invited, registered and approved can join a Zoom meeting.

This feature should have been there from the start, if you ask me, and it should be free for all, not just paid accounts. Thanks for the video!

If the email can be forwarded and the person who gets the forwarded email can just register for the meeting, what has been accomplished? You have someone you may not want there able to attend. I enjoy the video.

IF YOU DONT SEE THE REGISTRATION BIT @ 1:51, DONT WORRY.... Click "Add configuration" and then follow his instructions and give the name "REGISTRATION". I think he missed that bit off because he set it up beforehand. Nice video though

Hi Chris, This is a fantastic video. In fact, it was just the one that I was looking for. I even contact Zoom Sales team, but they didn't tell me about this .

I have just one question. Everything you say is fine. It works perfectly expect one thing. If a non-registered user tries to login, he can't and get a page and in that page, there is a button called 'Register', where he (the unregistered user) can fill the registration form and register and then the registration is pending.

Where do I (host/owner) get that registration request email to? Is it to my Zoom host email address or is it to Zoom portal? Why I'm asking this is, because I checked in both these places, and did not see and email. In fact in Zoom portal I don't have an email.

Hope you would have a time to send a reply.

Thanks in advance!
Omal

Trying to find a resolution to this on Zoom customer support is impossible so trying here! I have a large Zoom meeting set up that requires registration. But, I'm going to enable Focus Mode so that only hosts and co-hosts can share video and "mute all" participants except co-hosts (and disable ability to self unmute), AND I'm going to enable waiting room. Is there any possible way to share the direct link with an external presenter (not part of my org) so that they can bypass registration and the waiting room so that we can change their role to co-host prior to the start of the meeting?

Anyone know if Zoom has a function that creates a sign in for a confidentiality/NDA that people would need to sign before being admitted?

Hi Chris! Can this feature apply to a zoom recording? Allowing new participants who weren't in the live meeting access the recorded meeting if I register and approve them later..

How can I perform this option on several email accounts and not just on one email account
Or only those who receive the link can connect with the same email account of the link?

Does turning off and on the "require authentication" button make no difference at all when the "sign-in with zoom" option is selected? As in, can the users join from web or app, are there any restrictions at all then if the user has a zoom account?

I have a paid account, I set up a registration required meeting, and after everybody registered with an email address and a unique question, they are still asked to sign in or via the link, but I didn`t enable the "Require authentication to join" function.

Could anyone tell me why and how to solve it?

And also, when they registered with an email and unique a question, I would expect them to sign in with those two matching questions but seems they don`t have any connection. Why can`t they just join with the right email address, the right passcode, and the right unique question?

Hi. I am unable to join webinars because of "already joined the meeting from another device" error. How do I resolve this? Please help.
