In this video, I will discuss how we can use derivatives to find the equation of the tangent and the normal line.
It was only after recording the video that I realised an error I made in using an incorrect value of x for the coordinates of the point before writing the equation of the tangent and the normal. So, yes, I calculated the value correctly, but instead of using (0,1) in the point-slope form, I used (1,1) by mistake. The process though, is correct.
But the correct equation of the tangent should be: y = -4x + 1
and the correct equation of the normal should be: y = x/4 + 1
