How to Protect Instagram Account from Hackers

One of the best ways to protect your Instagram account from getting hacked is by turning on two-factor authentication.

Before you turn this on, you can check login security inside the Instagram settings to make sure you recognize all the recent logins.

If you don’t, make sure to log out and reset your password.

You can also check if you receive an email from Instagram. A lot of hacking attempts are via email and it’s not actually from Instagram.

Then, turn on two-factor authentication.

Solid video! Would also recommend, for personal accounts, to make set your Insta to "private" & also frequently comb through your followers and following lists, & delete accounts you don't recognize or seem like scams.
Kinda counterintuitive since everyone wants those "likes & followers, " but it does help.

I recently got hacked without two factor on and the hacked locked me and they turned it. but because of meta account center I was able to get by accessing the backup codes via meta center ....also I recommend connect all your account via meta account center. Because if you get hacked and the hacked locked you out of two factor you can still access backup code on the meta center using your other account.

did all that the problem I had was ghosting some one used my IP address and would log on the same time I was .so they were monitoring every thing. and copy my logon name ..So I guess now I could use a VPN with Instagram apps..??? not sure..it's been a while..
