Lyrics

Forgive. Forget. That's a lesson that we haven't learned yet
We try. We cry. But a day doesn't die til the sun is set

Uh, night falls, days come and go
No retreat, stubborn, played the role
Held a grudge and I seen it takes it's toll
Guess it proves I still got a way to go
Got to stop being so hard headed and hard nosed
And get rid of the excess cargo, you know
Lighten up my carload cause I keep veerin' on back down to her road
Uh, I've been lied to, cheated on
I've been shit talked, beat down, treated wrong,
And I won't forgive or forget
But I don't want to live with regret
And so I hope I can let go, move on,
Try to forgive anybody who did Luke wrong
Yeah, right I can hold hope, hoping it'll do but I don't think I got the will to

Forgive. Forget. That's a lesson that we haven't learned yet.
We try. We cry. But a day doesn't die til the sun is set.

Yeah, it goes, balls to the walls till I drop
Love what I am but I hate what I'm not
I no longer talk or text message
Any ex-girlfriends and these ex-best friends
Who left me stress and this neck tension
Never paid any dues but expect pension
And that's why our friendship is suspended
If you thought I'd forget guess again
I don't have it in me, don't have the discipline
Eye for an eye, the adrenaline is kicking in
Burn me once, shame on you
If I let it happen twice than it's shame on me
Okay, I get it, this is part of the vicious
Cycle we live in so I'm forgivin'
Still gettin' heated with anyone who burns us
Dwell in a grudge but I'm still tryin' to learn to

Forgive. Forget. That's a lesson that we haven't learned yet
We try. We cry. But a day doesn't die til the sun is set

You and your crew have been helping me grow my whole life Class! To see these older tracks you did that meant so much to me and my development retrospected is amazing! You have a great way of personalizing your music, to me at least and this is just another example of that! Your a gem man, and a great role model for all people young and old. I am proud to be Canadian and proud to blast your music wherever I go from BC to Nova Scotia! Have a great Day EVERYONE!

Not sure if everyone understands how COOL this video is. Guess you realize it once you start trying to be COOL. You got that class. “Never moved away from my home town! People hold me up cuz I hold ‘em down”. Beautiful video! Thanks Luke

Man this music was before it's time. Brings tears to my eyes when I listen to your music. Your catalogue is so under appreciated. I hope you know your fans never take you or your music for granted

I’m an Amazon delivery driver, and I occasionally do these streets. It’s a beautiful area, and the people are genuinely so nice!

Moving home to Nova Scotia this summer, with the whole family. Spent a week in Enfield last time I was there. Hitchhiked there from Halifax airport when we landed. Ended up living in Halifax for a bit. That was 2005. I really miss the people of Nova Scotia! You music and videos remind me why. Thank you Luke!
Can't wait to be back! 🌄

Thank you for sharing, would love to see Flin Flon just one last time. I was born there in 1974,
80-81 we left Canada and went to Germany. Was back in Canada as I was 30, that´s where a good buddy introduced me to your music, left age 41 as my mother in Germany was very sick. Never made in 11 years to see 56 terrace ave ever again.
A tear shed my eyes seeing how you can show your birthplace and glad to see you still live around the corner.
Take care

I didn’t grow up in Canada, but my Dad’s side of the family is from Vancouver, and he was born in Toronto. I’m glad that music like yours, The Reklaws, Brett Kissel, etc has been able to get me in touch with my Canadian roots. Proud to be a Canadian American from California, and I share your stuff with my friends so that way you can have more American fans!

So well done. I grew up beside 'the Parks' and sold Cheese and Regal catalog items to raise money for the playground. I remember when Luke was mixing tracks on cassette tapes. Few artists have been at this as long as you, still true to your roots and still relevant.
