💬 Jackson C.Frank Lost 15 of his school friends in a fire, was severely burnt, lost his son to cystic fibrosis, lived on the streets alone drifting in and out of institutions, he lost everything, then just as he felt ready to come back for one last run he was shot in the eye and blinded. If pain can be used to create good music it explains why frank is the most soulful and meaningful artists of the last half a century.
The beauty of music is how it reaches you emotionally. No telling what does or does not do it for you or for what reason. Musicians put it out there, the best for themselves, who cares what anyone else thinks, it's not about us or what we think. This moved me on a lot of level, but that's just me. I'm glad musicians aren't afraid to face the critics, too many have been silenced by OPINIONS.
As tragic as his life was, he managed to create something lasting and beautiful. Isn't that the dream of any great artist?
