I just realised the gun Shepard shoots Mordin with is a Carnifex, the same type he gave her when they first met. Notice how she throws it aside after she does the coup de grâce.

Mordin defended the Genophage so well in Mass Effect 2, yet in Mass Effect 3 realizes he was wrong. Now that's character development.

I love this scene because with Mordin just how, when he yells "I made a mistake" he has to take a moment for it to really hit him. That is the first time that he ever admitted it out loud I think, it is why it takes a moment and why he says it again putting his thoughts together.

I just noticed after all these years but Shepard, after shooting Mordin Solus a trusted friend and ally that helped her through impossibly odds more than once, discards the weapon she used to kill him like it was trash.

This is the best part of the trilogy for me. Not only is this mission amazing, but Mordin's character, everything analyzed to death, every move calculated, his decisions defended - then coming clean that he thinks he made a mistake. That's a great character arc. Sadly, all the Paragons will miss this.

its the first time Mordin says "I". He always avoided that word. He always let himself out of his statements. Maybe as a defense mechanism. But when forced on this.. he says ">I< made a misstake". Not "made a misstake", or "We made a misstake". No, he did. Its such a peak moment.
