I wonder how different it would have went if he did his act in front of the judges. And people are pissed at Simon, but he legit said he didn’t buzz the act, but production. Honestly, I would have buzzed production as well

"Well, we wasn't expecting that". He just needed to keep up the suspense really. Personally, I think his skill is on par or even better than Shin Lim's as he doesn't use black cloth to camouflage cards. Cleverly put-together and a well-rehearsed skillful card trick that takes a lot of talent to execute. Deserved to make it through to see what else he could produce at least, considering the actual winner was someone just taking off a stockpile of vests and monkeying around on stage. These judges are clearly getting old and losing their sight (clearly literally) and what exceptional talent really indicates. Mastering a skill or art, or gaining expertise in something to perfection through hard work, perseverance, and displaying their ability in a flawless performance.
