I do the update with the usb drive and it works, but when I turn it off and then back in it’s asking me to update again??? Any suggestions??

Hi can you please help me, I just got my son a new PS4 about 5 weeks ago, lady night he was playing For Honor and out of nowhere his PS4 gets stuck on safe mode, he tried stepa3, 4, 5, 6 and after trying#6 the screen just says Cannot Initialize. Please tell me how to fix this. He was so happy to have a new system as he had his first PS4 for 3 years before it stopped working and I was able to finally get a new one and now this has happened. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I initialized my ps4 slim, but would only show the Stotage loading screen, then the logo screen, and then would have the blue light blinking and blinking without ever turning on. I think it’s the blue light of death

I'm stuck in the loop after twice getting out. I initialize and it stays stuck loading at a percentage I wait and it has gotten through to the home screen and I'm able to put my accounts back on and download my games but it has been a very slow/crashes games system after may 27 7.51 update so I know it is not the console or parts and do not need to replace it these updates. Still need help getting out of the loop.

Also, my playstation doesn't say it's in safe mode and I dont have the ability to choose any of the 8 options. How do I get those options to appear? Will a new hardrive delete all my saved gameplay from NBA 2K GTA 5 and FORTNITE?

I've tried out all your videos like a lot of other folks in the comments. Did some additional research and it looks like I'll have to go through the reinitialization process or replace my hard drive since no other processes are working.

If I remove my hard drive, does anyone know if I can recover the save data from that, and put that on a different hard drive? So far all the videos I'm running into on YT are telling me that I can only backup my data from the PS4's user interface, which I cannot reach since my PS4 has been stuck in the safe mode loop.

I took my PS4 hard drive out, put one of my old laptops hard drives in the PS4 and installed the PS4 software from the PS4 website, leaving my PS4 hard drive untouched on the side not reinitialized. Really hoping if I maybe wait for a different patch it'll fix my hard drive? Or that someone will help point out a way to transfer the data from my PS4 hard drive so I can recover it.

Hi Zadius. I have watched all of your videos on this problem and have ran thru all the steps and procedures. After “initializing PS4” i was able to go back and install update 7.50 from my USB drive! My system updated and then did a restart and I was then able to begin set up of my system! (Wifi, region, date and time, etc) when it came to accepting terms of service, i scrolled thru to the bottom and clicked “accept”. Next page comes up with: “An error has occurred. ( CE-34675-5)”. PLEASE HELP
