US wants Canada to drop dairy tariffs, a category which accounts for 0.1% of trade between the 2 countries. Canada has a 270% dairy tariff, due to the U.S. subsidizing American dairy farmers. Canada doesn't subsidize their dairy farmers. Without the tariff Canada cannot compete. The U.S still sends 5 times more dairy products to Canada than Canada does to the U.S..
