Quantic Lab is a company offering high end quality assurance for a multitude of video game developers. With hefty contracts from major development studios (like CD Projekt Red) and working on major titles (Like Cyberpunk 2077) it is coming to light that this company may be siphoning millions of dollars in fraudulent charges from their clients, for work that was never done, and for employees that didn't exist.

Its time to revisit Quantic Lab. A and the saga of workplace abuse, fraud and suspect dealings.

You know you've made it as a reporter when you break a story this big and it actually goes somewhere

On an unrelated note.
I was once asked by my manager to fraudulently submit bogus productivity stats to our client in order for my employer to hit bonus targets.
I told them they needed to submit the request to myself in writing.
I was fired a few weeks later.

As a romanian i can tell you that romanian authorities are too incompetent to propperly investigate that company. And a company with that amount of money will buy out their freedom in Romania.

"Overworked & underpaid." This is why Romania & other Balkan/east European countries are so interesting for the investors. No real political instability, danger, frauds & threats from places like The State of North Taiwan🇨🇳 or Russia. Best of all: the labor is cheaper than that of a Northern Taiwan🇨🇳. Plus, the employers are free to physically🤕 & mentally😰 abuse the workers without any repercussions!

When you say 'just take my word for it', I probably am speaking for most people who watch your content that 'your word', is enough. You have earned that respect from your professionalism and reporting capabilities. Brilliant work, yet again.

Literally anyone playing the game at any time could see the hoards of bugs. Even without experienced play testers, there were very basic completely games breaking glitches happening that there’s no was CDPR didn’t know about.

Amaranth is making an only fans 2? Thankyou for bringing this news to light. This is true journalism.

Imagine if CDPR hadn't gone to Quantic... Maybe it would've still been underwhelming, but at least my character potentially wouldn't tpose on a motorcycle, his clothes completely despawning (my dad and I died laughing the Cyberstreaking glitch, but c'mon)

This is the type of content I’m looking for investigative reporting on issues of the industry that bleed over into games that are released. Thank you 🙏.

Thank you for always bringing us thorough, well-researched, interesting vids.

You mentioned how some outlets ran with the story, and proceeded to misquote everybody. Which I assume included you. I can't even imagine how much some outlets must have tried to portray YOU as the bad guy, as the problem.

I live in the mentioned city where Quantic Lab is and I can confirm that is as worse as mentioned. The management is definition of a bully as in if you stay your ground in face of abuse, useless crunch time and if you don't kiss their butts they'll treat you like shit or even fire you. The salary is below average and they change their employees like socks. I know some people that worked there and after they quit they told me that that place is such a den of shit that makes Gameloft or Ubisoft (2 of the worst studios in Romania) a heaven to work at.
Every time I hear someone asking how is like to work at Quatinc I tell them to avoid that shit at all costs.
I got called a few times by their HR department for employment and each time I told them to fuck off.

Sounds like a document drop might happen soon. Good coverage as always

If im hearing it right, your source is preparing to release detailed documents to CDPR of how Quantic Labs violated the contract knowing that would demand a major lawsuit Quantic Labs may not be capable of surviving, especially if other companies see value in a legal dog pile over violated contracts. He probably hoped that it could be handled internally or through public pressure for job security purposes, but is clearly willing to burn it all down if necessary.

Sounds like what a lot of American companies are doing. Cycling down to people who will work with little pay and work overtime hours without being paid extra.

Youtube is drunk: seems to have issues deciding whether this video is 1337 or 1336 long. At first, it listed as 13:37. I click it. It shows 13:37 for a split second then changes to 13:36. I reload, same happens. I open in a new tab, and in THAT tab it is 13:37 constantly.

Given the obvious numerological importance, I want to know what, how, why.

(Yes, I'm a QA, formerly in one of Quantic's competitors, now working first party and - thank the gods of salaries and work/life balance - not in games. So this obviously SERIOUS issues must be fixed!)

Thankyou for your incredible job! I find your reports very much on spot and interesting; a real breeze of fresh air.

Hey, just one more mention regarding the article in Libertatea. It was mentioned there that the QA people working there had salaries just above the minimum wave allowed in Romania. People were earning aproximately 300 dollars per month (in perspective, it think you can afford 1 bedroom apartment rent with this salary and that's it).
