Just found your channel. Do you have any videos on what parents should expect financially when kids start applying to in state colleges? I’m disabled and won’t be able to help money wise, I’ve been hearing that my kids might get approved for a lot of grants or scholarships due to me being disabled even though my husband works. We live in Indiana. My kids are sophomores so I’m trying to get all my questions answered before they start applying in two years.

you might as well just focus on the things you like doing instead like extracurriculars. I studied for 3 days before my sat on my own and though I didn't get a 1600, I got a 1580 which is good enough for me.

People laugh, but that’s how you get the 1600. Study half a day, every day all summer, if need be!

And for the naysayers, why do you think the research Dartmouth and Yale just published shows that students with higher test scores do better in college? Yeah, learning how to study on your own, and learning how to check your work while working faster, pays off.
