This is so true, and can be applied to any situation of desperation. Dr. Svoboda, a brilliant Ayurvedic physician always says that the more intense the desire, the more you should pause. The more you think you have to have it, the more you should wait. I think of that all the time.

Insightful. Being fulfilled and offering from a place of generosity sends out beautiful vibes. I have been desperate for reciprocity and that desperation turned reciprocity into transactional. So good to know the difference between short-term transaction and long-term reciprocity

Eye-opening advice 😅 I knew intuitively that something is off when I’m trying to start new business and fail every time. This is what was off. I was desperate to get clients, get the money asap. You made me think and work on the this desperation first. I appreciate you Tad 🙏 Thank you!

It’s all so true! Nothing scares people away faster! Something I learned doing markets with my hand made business but am having a slightly harder time getting around in my yoga business. I am a very competitive person, this makes me feel a scarcity or drive to fill rooms sometimes. I need to get back to the core of why I teach and what is my message and if when I can help just one person it is worth it!

Thank you for your work in sharing this message❤️

Hi Tad, thank you so much for this talk. I truly believe that any sort of desperation is a repellant to what you desire. It's all about alignment and integrity. I've been taking a Sacred pause in my business for some time due to needing to clarify my niche and services, life trauma and transitions. I feel myself coming back into integrity and alignment and soon ready to serve but coming from a totally different space of making creative offerings and letting go of outcomes.
Thanks friend for your service your Youtube is a wealth of information

This is profound. "First, deal with the desparation..." so, so on-target. I remember years ago in an angel-reading session asking how to make money, and I was so mad becasue the message was to deal with my issues! How was that going to make me money? : ) But, years later, having cleared a lot of issues, they were hugely in the way, the angels were right.

I have been dealing for years with the desire to be famous, and I have recently been examining it more carefully. What you said about it might be about needing a sense of belonging, a role in the community--food for thought. A way to think about what the need really is and how to meet it. Thanks

Spot on & quoting Billy Connolly.. oh hello! Attachment & holding things lightly.. no small art, but not impossible either. Thank you, finding this vid particularly inspiring.

Beautifully expressed Tad. In AA and theater there is an interesting distinction between wants and needs. Every good movie is the story of the protagonist learning that what they want is not what they need. They start in a false persona with selfish wants, and their healing hero’s journey is discovering what they really need which reveals their true essence. AA opens minds by sayings to expose the addiction like when you really need love you can never get enough sex. When you really need to feel like you make a contribution you can never have enough power.

That's so crazy I never thought about desperation towards clients, in other contexts yes but not for clients. And that being said: I am guilty of doing this! Glad I watched this. The title got me, I see what you did there.... lol ;)

Hello darkness my old friend...fear...breathing through...heavy tears... releasing... "lead" transforms to "gold".

Excellent point. It's essential that we release the desperation, the overpush, if we are to see the results for our efforts. I like to make a distinction that we don't let go of the goal (desired outcome) necessarily, but releasing the overpush is key. P.S. Been really enjoying your ideas & engaging delivery recently, thank you for sharing so generously! x

Makes sense. At the moment, I'm really just focused on the process of putting out my content, reaching out to people who view and comment on my videos and asking them what they like, what they want to see more of etc.. Soon I'll even be getting on the phone with people to ask even more questions

This is spot on. Thanks so much Tad. Many a time has my business panic been soothed by doing the dishes.

Thank you. I am struggling to find my financial feet ywars after quitting my older career and my findings are similar. Each time I get desperate I find that there is something else going on.

In my way of seeing at the heart of desperation is fear and it needs to be love.

Thanks Tad! You're so right. My personal integrity is primary to my ethical little business.

I'm wondering how you feel about using social media platforms that have so many social problems for individuals and groups. Does that cause you any concern?

I would love to hear what your listeners think too!

Interesting perspective.. when you are younger it's easy to fall into the trap of trying to hard to get the girl.. and it usually backfires. But if you don't try at all, women will flock to you. The same probably applies to business and other areas of life. If you're not making money quit trying so hard and see what happens lol
