Kenesaw Mountain Landis was an interesting man. A lifelong baseball fan, Kenesaw Mountain Landis was involved in a major lawsuit that could have put an end to the sport. Instead, he did not rule, and the two parties settled out of court. Judge Landis was a very successful lawyer, who hated draft dodgers. After the 1919 World Series, it was clear that baseball needed a savior. The owners voted to hire Kenesaw Mountain Landis as the unquestioned commissioner of the sport. What did he do?
