"This video took place in Daytona Beach, Florida. My father and I were driving to a car show at Daytona International Speedway on Thanksgiving weekend. Along the way, I noticed his gas gauge quickly moving to empty and decided to record the process in his 1968 Dodge Charger. The end result was us getting stranded because we literally couldn’t make it to the next gas station."

This is probably a car used purely for drag racing and just has a really small tank to save on weight. There's no way the car could guzzle gas from a normal tank that fast. I mean they still get crappy mileage, something like 7-15 mpg depending on how it's tricked out. But a normal tank should also be able to hold 12+ gallons, which means you're probably going to get at least 70 miles to a normal tank. That or there's something wonky with the floater in the tank that give an inaccurate reading, and it eventually comes back up when you slow down or stop.
