Hyundai Tucson Key Fob Battery Replacement (2014 - 2019)

How to replace the battery in this key fob for the Hyundai Tucson 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 "D-Shaped" smart key fob.

I just used this video and changed my battery in less than 10 minutes. I couldn't start my SUV and was hoping it was something simple and it was. Thankfully there are plenty of useful things to find on the internet.

For the 2018 mine was slightly different. The battery was in a metal sleeve attached to the circuit board. You will see a small tab on the sleeve. Put the small screwdriver next to the sleeve and push the battery gently to slide it out of the sleeve.

Thanks! I just bought a 2016 2 weeks ago and the key fob quit locking/unlocking, and wasn't recognized sometimes when trying to start. I thought I was going to have to have a new fob. What a relief!

Thanks! Very helpful for changing out the dead battery in my mom's 2018 Hyundai Tucson SEL Plus keyfob after getting a 'no keyfob detected' dashboard message. The 2032 battery was in a metal sleeve on the back of the circuit board and just needed to be pushed out with the flathead screwdriver.

Just changed my 2018 Tuscan battery in 4 mins! Only thing is for 17-current the battery dosent go inside out but just slides into a slot (super easy)
