28th September, 2024, the day when the CPI(M) organised a condolence meeting for its general secretary Sitaram Yechury who recently died, transformed into a political stage for I.N.D.I.A bloc leaders to reaffirm their pledge to fight "communal politics spearheaded by the BJP-led NDA government". Leaders who took turns to mourn Yechury's death asserted that that the biggest tribute to the communist leader would be to strive towards rooting out divisive trends in Indian politics.
