Just came back to say wow this was absolutely amazing in helping me plan. I have one question though, how did you manage reteaching yourself to teach a topic? Reading a chapter ahead isn’t working for me.

I agree, you have to always keep the essential question in mind the whole time. When I'm planning I always stick to what the end goal is and what they have to demonstrate on the summative assessment. Every activity that is done is geared towards the end goal/essential question. We call the "practice" activities formative assessments.

I'm currently continuing my education to get certified as an art teacher. I'm currently a teacher's aide for high school special needs students. I've came to the realization that I want to be a teacher. I love art so I decided, why not a art teacher?

With covid and everything going on I constantly see so many negative articles about how much teachers hate teaching because of all of the disrespect from the students and their parents. I'm getting cold feet and wanted to see some real answers about why teachers love the profession they're in.
