Conmebol needs to be investigated and sued for such a bad management.

South America? to get to a River Plate home game, you have to go through 3 security checks, two of which you have to show your ticket.
THe truth is, many people realized that ALL Copa America stadiums were vulnerable at the entrance gate. I personally know cases of people who got into games, sometimes even hiding their tickets just to test this, and were always able to breach very easily.
The final was a smaller stadium, and a bigger game. THey shoulda seen it coming. I think you are right, CONMEBOL bought the "No Frills Basic" package for this tournament.

What about the awful field situation? The fields are in no way near anything that is of international Football standard. For an international Football tournament be played on a Turf is awful and dangerous to the players.

I don't entirely agree. There were security forces from Florida on site. So there must be those responsible for security both on the US side and at CONMEBOL who should have coordinated. It's naive to say in retrospect, "Oh my God, we didn't see something like that coming, " especially when you've known for decades what football is like in some countries. At last year's Belgrade derby, no one came within 300 meters of the stadium without a ticket. 4 (!) controls from the outer perimeter to the stadium gate. And that was just a league game. And of course a ton of police and securities.

Martinez was also the leading goal scorer in the Italian Serie "A" this past season.

come on stop trying to compare it to Wembley in euros, in that case, 2000 people without tickets stormed the gates, in Copa America, it was around 15 thousand.

I too think they should at least ask Mourinho. I know he plays ugly, but he'd certainly take the attention off the players, and is a winner

Trying to clean the image of the USA putting all the blame on Conmebol (which is a disaster) but you cant host a World Cup with the fields like they had in this Copa America. If you dont want to protect NFL players and let them get injured is your issue, if this happens to Messi again the organization is going to have a big problem.
