Yeah, Gan’s 4x4 is not good for using as a 2x2. It has terrible inner layers, but to be fair this is Gan’s first big cube.

once i showed my friends my 2x2 and one twisted the corners in a way that made 2 of them super loose which made it rlly hard to turn (btw this is a magnetic 2x2) so i had to take it apart completely and put it back together :/
