Alone Together Lyrics ǀ Bridgerton Musical

Inspired by the Netflix hit "Bridgerton", Alone Togther is based on the painting scene between Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset.

I have never watched Bridgerton but when I hear this song I can imagine a perfect scene, especially for musical theatre.

They both walk in from stage right and Daphne is in front of Simon and they start singing. (The set would be an art gallery).
Simon sings his verse while Daphne isn't looking at him (hense "She's just out of reach"). Then Daphne would start singing with her verse and she would occasionally look over her shoulder at him. Then Simon would get a bit closer as he sings his verse and Daphne would be pointing at something off stage (presumably a painting). When Daphne sings her verse she will be looking at him but look away as he turns to look at her.
For the bridge, they will walk around the gallery until they are at down-stage center, (they need to be there by "We could escape, into the painting.") then they will walk up-stage and their hands will slowly brush and then they will be holding hands by "gilded in gold".
And then when they say alone together Simon will pull her into a ballroom dance. When they sing "I lose control whenever" Daphne will do the lean back spin thing. and then straighten for our feelings unfold back into ballroom dancing. Then when they sing the first when we"re alone together she'll cup his face and he'll hold her waist. For the second one she'll grab his arms. And then for the big "I wish you were mine" they hold hands and lean back.
Then the dialogue will play out and they'll leave stage left.
Of course I could be dead wrong but tell me what you think!

*frantically researches the rest of the musical* wow ok i instantly knew i'll be hyperfixating on this musical for the next two weeks and i've never seen bridgerton holy shit this is so well composed, it low-key sounds like doctor who instrumentals at some points too, i have chILLS
