Linkin Park - Sky2 (Crawling Demo)

Back in 2019 several sounds and projects from Linkin Park leaked online after the band sold some old gear online. LPLive posted a compilation of all the demos we could export from these projects and called it Hybrid Party Of A Thousand Things.

One of the things we noticed about this collection is that the Hybrid Theory demos in particular were missing sounds that could be heard on the same demos in LPTV and LPUTV episodes and other official documentaries. Thankfully, long after the original compilation was posted some dedicated fans continued studying the files, as seen in the "Technique Samples" thread, and discovered those missing sounds were actually present in the projects and available in the folders, they were only muted.

I was able to set out to restore those sounds and found out some of the already present samples also had their decay set to minimum, making them nothing more than "click" sounds. Thanks to his work and dedication on these demos we are now able to offer most of them in their original glory! 'Hurry' being the only song where files were actually missing from the folder.

“Sky” is the original version of “Crawling” before the band decided to repurpose the melody from “Blue” to create their Grammy Award winning song. The title of the project indicates this track is the second version of this demo, which might explain why it already sounds close to beat in the final song. Among other sounds, it was built on strings sampled from Björk, several bass and drum sounds from “Stick N Move, ” two drum sounds from “Mic” and a drum sound (supposedly sampled from The Roots) from “Ugh.”
