The thing is slavic countries use to get their names after the place they're located to. For example: Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Herzegovina is also a place) Serbia, etc...so, even tho North Macedonia has 0 relation with the ancient kingdom of Macedon the fact that's called after the region and not by any deep historical background makes sense.

This country is actually called Vardarska. Alexander the Great was Greek and not a Slav, but they just don't want to accept the truth. They didnt even exist back when Alexander lived and also, people don't understand that Macedonia is a region of Hellas and not what they think it is.

This is the same shit of saying "Why there is no Eastern Macedonia" even if the so called Macedonians (Bulgarians in denial) also claim Pirin as theirs because Pirin (оr Blagoevgrad oblast as we call it) also falls in the entire Macedonia region.
Macedonia is a region, split in 2 (3) countries - Pirin (Bulgaria), Aegian (Greece) and Varder (The so called "North Macedonia" or FYROM previously).
This country is just an artificial project made by Tito, Stalin and Dimitrov in 1944 like with Moldova to be another "separation" as usual. Not to mention their language is not even Greek but a broken Bulgarian rural dialect with Serbian words, written on Serbian typewriter.
Serbs tried to make them "South Serbs" in their so called "South Banovina" but failed.
