When the rumors said the plan for the Blade reboot was to have Blade as a side character, in his own movie, to a trio of female vampire hunters not from the comics, you aren't too surprised to see it being shelved indefinitely today!

After having seen Blade in the latest Deadpool, I was surprised how well Snipes still fits this character, and would actually love him continuing with that role^^

After seeing Wesley Snipes return in Deadpool 3, I’d rather see him play the role again than see another MCU flop.

It's the Wolverine, Deadpool, Iron Man issue; you got actors playing roles that are so ingrained in our concious that it's impossible to see anyone else playing the roles. Hugh owns Wolverine, Ryan owns being Deadpool, Robert is Tony Stark/Iron Man, and Wesley is Blade. They're just so iconic in their roles.

And then there's Spiderman. 😁

The 1st Blade was great, but for me Blade 2 is the best of the Trillogy. The 2nd one is still in my Top5 Superhero Movies all time. So as soon as they announced a new MCU Blade, I hoped it would fail. And it looks like my hopes will come true. So yeah, Blade said it best himself... "There's only ever going to be one Blade!"
