Pretty much every Gen X'er has lived a Life of Agony. The 80s were a weird time where all the parents hated their kids, and there were no government agencies checking up on children. Kids were getting molested and raped all the time by lots of people in their lives because parents would dump their kids off on some old couple that would watch them for $10, or some teenage girl that had a bunch of wannabe Satanic Kids that used drugs, and they hated the kids. It happened to me. My dad had a party with all his construction buddies on a Sunday night when I was visiting him, and one of his buddies spit on me, and I remember being in a closet and something going up my ass, but I was too young and confused to understand what was happening. Everyone got away with it in the 80s, and even the 90s.
