What is EoE for children and their caregivers?

EoE is a condition related to allergies. A kind of white blood cell called eosinophils can build up in the throat where they don’t belong. That can lead to swelling, pain and trouble swallowing in the tube that connects our mouths to our stomachs. With EoE, it can feel like something is stuck in your throat. Your stomach may hurt. It may hurt to eat. It might feel like food is coming back up or that you’re about to throw up.
