With each breath we have the opportunity to begin again, to arrive in the present moment. In this foundational phase of this journey, I invite you to see each new practice as a new arrival.

Accept and celebrate that each day will be different. Some days you will have more energy than others. Some days it will seem as though the universe is supporting you to show up, eagerly, and fully. Some days your brain will* make it very hard for you to arrive, and it may seem like the exterior is winning over your interior goals.

Make your #1 goal to show up on the mat.

Self-care is learning the practice of meeting yourself each day, learning about who you really are, and continuing to arrive to devote yourself to the process of self-discovery, not perfectionism.

With each breath, a new arrival.

It’s a powerful tool, and one we are going to cultivate and celebrate together.

I don't usually comment on videos but I just wanted to tell the world how proud I am of myself for arriving at the mat today. I've had two nights of bad sleep which has flared up my chronic fatigue and chronic pain in a major way, and being towards the end of the day in Melbourne Australia (5pm) all I wanted to do was lie in bed. But I got on the mat and did today's practice and reminded myself of how strong I am. I'm so excited to see where else this journey takes me this month!

It is hard to get there, but once you're on the mat, you wonder why there was ever any hesitance in the first place.

This was a tough one if you're not in full health or have injuries. So remember yoga is for health. It's not an exercise or competition. Poses are shown with variation and props. So I do mountain pose instead of plank. With downward dog I use my bed, to put the arms on. If this is hard, use a table. For lunges, you can either have the stretched leg on the floor. You can also do warrior one. With changes I could do the whole program today too. Now I have breakfast and then I rest. Take care and have lovely sunday.

Starting all over again, because life happened on day 5, I lost someone close, and breathing, really feeling, just was too overwhelming. I will take the rest of this journey as a way to process the loss, breathing deep really does make you feel all the things. So for everyone starting now, or starting over, you are not alone.

Quarantine for me, as I think it has for many, led to a collapse of my fitness routine. How many of you are fighting the thoughts of, "This used to be so easy for me." "I can't believe I let it get this bad" "I'm so out of shape!"....here's to the journey of getting back in our bodies!! One day at a time!

Starting off something is very easy because of the adrenaline rush but to show up everyday is the real challenge. But we accept this challenge right yogis?

I didn't know how sad/frustrated I really was until I sat down on the mat and literally started crying. After this practice, I felt sooo much better. Thank you Adrienne :)

I was having such a hard time relaxing and focusing today, in the middle of the practice I actually stopped as my anxiety was taking over because I felt like I was doing everything wrong. I was almost going to give up but I took some time to read the comments and seeing all these people sharing positivity pushed me to keep going! My anxiety didn't leave completely and maybe I don't feel as calm as I usually do after practice but I did it and that's what matters... So I guess I just wanted to say that if you are struggling it's alright, you are not alone and we can do this together!

2020 has been my year of hell. After more than 7 years of struggling in my studies and work, I decided to listen to my body and STOP. What followed was of course a breakdown of my body and I was diagnosed with severe, pent up, burnout. I have lain in bed for weeks. Then the pandemic happened. During those weeks in bed thinking, a lot of unresolved childhood trauma caused by skipping grades in school came up. Then, last december, in the space of just 10 days, my grandma died, my dog died and my father, not yet 60 years old, was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I spent NYE sobbing my heart out. What was supposed to be my year of healing dug my even more into the mud.

My former strong and fit body has been reduced to a quivering mess with VERY tight muscles and more than once I had to stop today because it was too hard or because relaxing caused me to sob again. But I am determined to make it through, however many breaks and modifications it might take. Showing up, every day, to do something for myself in these mountains of grief. Healing in 2021 is my goal. Namaste 🧡
