I lived with my dad when I had my first daughter (1986) and he had a Dobie. She would just start to cry and Blitz was on the case! He would run to me, back to her, etc until I got to her. He also did not allow anyone near "his baby" except me and my dad! It was hilarious! RIP Blitz...that baby is 37 years old now.

Kobe is such a sweetheart, he loves his family and is trying to get involved in, whenever he can to look after the baby!.
I believe they will have lots of joy with him when he starts to act as a babysitter 😂

Props to the parents for muzzling Kobe during the baby's first meeting. It's hard to predict how your dog can react at times, and overexcitement in dogs can lead to biting, so I'm glad they were prepared so as to prevent any accidents. Even though they knew Kobe very well, they still took the steps to make the first meeting as safe as possible :) these guys are gonna be good parents

Goldens around babies and toddlers are full of special moments. They already love everyone, but to see how they interact with little ones really shows how smart they are - they know they are around a little human! They know they must be gentle and protect, and in return, they will have a new best friend for the rest of their lives.

I know human babies are supposed to be the priority, but it is nice to see this couple take so much extra time making Kobe comfortable with the big change. Particularly, with one dog/cat households, they can genuinely have a hard time adjusting to not being the sole-focus of all of their owners love and attention. It’s just really sweet how much mom and dad have done to include and show affection to Kobe.
