Defense in Kouri Richins case files motions to disqualify prosecution, suppress evidence

Kouri Richins defense on Friday filed a motion to disqualify the prosecution from the case.

Richins is charged with giving her husband a fatal dose of fentanyl in 2022. She was arrested the following year, shortly after publishing a children's book on dealing with the loss of a loved one that featured Eric Richins as an angel throughout the story.

The motion specifically named prosecutor Brad Bloodworth, alleging he encroached on attorney-client privilege in multiple violations of Richin's 6th Amendment right to effective assistance of counsel.

Kouri is not happy. Just like her husband did not want to support her purchase of a property the jail won't allow her a budget to turn it into a 5 star jail. And also unhappy because people found out she was NOT the author of the book...she hired a ghost writer to write the book.

WAKE UP people!!! If defense has proof that prosecutor did indeed violate rights of defendant to boyer their case they are indeed wrong. Tgis happens all too many times and people cannot get a fair trial. It really shows how prosecution and police think they can just violate your rights without recourse. Utah needs to get control of these people. Its flat out wrong. I dont care if you were fed the 1 sided story from the prosecutor and the sister suing just before a gag order was then in place, and dont like the fact the attorney for the defense is pretty. It is the right of America's to have a right to defend themselves fairly. This is undercutting and is not legal nor fair. Shame on all of you, who think otherwise.

Will you PLEASE stop perpetuating the lie that she "wrote a book"? Less than 5 minutes of investigating shows that she hired a ghostwriting firm, as well as an illustrator, and put her name on it.
