Josh, thank you very much for sharing the information! Fantastic stuff :) Just couple notes.
1. Usually you don't explain the origins. Showing the demo you never show the overall topology/architecture of that demo. So one can reproduce what you've shown but never understands what s/he is doing right now (I mean newcomers, pros don't need to see your videos) So it's just a some black magic spells for new guys without any understanding what stands for what. Do some introduction and overview first and couple minutes of technological theory. Otherwise, that's gonna be a waste of time for folk who've never read regarding the stuff demonstrated.
2. Slow Everybody believe that you can talk even faster and participate in rappers battles. Nobody argue that you can talk like a pro. But think right now: are you tight in time like at conventions or are you paying for every extra minute of your video? If you want every visitor to get your stuff and see every detail just SLOW DOWN! You're talking to your potential customers. Do you want to just impress us and make WOW for us or you want we to see clearly all the advantages and nitty-gritties helping us to do our business? Myself personally ended up viewing this movie ended with humming in ears and smoke in my brains :) Information can not be percepted effectively if it's submitted with high speed. You've lost me in 10-12 minutes :-/ Just slow down and talk as average guys used to hear.
AND! More details. I've been trying to create the server step-by-step and ended up with huge exceptions list. After digging the Spring mud and forums I've found that autoconfiguring requires the Redis Server running. I didn't find it in your demo. There is a dilemma: if I've got enough time to read all that crap which Pivotal called documentation then I'll most likely never view your videos. If I prefer to save some time and dive into this stuff faster then I'm very much about viewing all your videos but then you have to explain the technology deeper. Just one sample - nobody explains in Spring videos using configuration servers. Why to use it, where it is, how to start, when to start or when it's not required.
But overall, cool stuff! Keep posting your demos, just take my opinion to account.
Thank you!!
