First things first, great video and examples. I have been searching for a tool that I can tone and test (from a location back to the breaker/dmark/modem) without having to switch anything at the other location. I was wondering when you were toning the line and then plugged into the tone wand, all the lights came on before you switched to test. Is that simply verification that that is indeed the line that has tone on it or is that testing those pairs?

If you didn't know it was a cross-over cable then how do you reach this conclusion from the light sequence? It just looks similar to the healthy patch cable early in the video

what if there is no switch board, just a bunch of un-terminated wires? How can i find out which wire it is?
