BUYING More MPW After Dividend Cut Why I See Medical Properties Trust As A Long Term Stock Buy

MPW Stock Decline has been Huge over the past 6 months, Continues to trend Down or Sideways and has a Current High Dividend Yield of 12%. Bought 35 Shares of MPW as a long term value hold, REITs have been Beated down severely to Covid levels and is a Stock Trading at Covid levels. I feel MPW is undervalued at current Stock Prices and Will look to hold for the long term as there buisness slowly recovers and grows.

MPW is a Hospital Riet with 19 Billion dollars of Net Assets & a Market Cap of under 4 Billion Dollars. MPW is trading Close to All Time Low & could present a Great Buying Opportunity if the Stock is to Recover and Appreciate like it has been long term. MPW Dividend was cut to $0.15 from $0.29 which is a 66% Dividend Cut. The Dividend cut could be a good thing for MPW in the Long Term as they sort out Tenant Relations and Build up there Portfolio of Hospital Buildings once again.

I have a little over 450 shares. I have nibbled 25 share blocks as it continues to go down. I agree with your financials on them. This is a long term hold for me. The dividend cut was expected and I feel, if, they use the extra cash to balance the books we will see double digit growth in the future.

I’ve made a couple hundred dollars playing options trying to get shares. Surprisingly today it dropped to almost $4/share! I’ve been assigned once and was called away the next week. I think the investor psychology is a little out of control with this REIT but MPW needs to show more stability in this economic environment. I will be a long term holder if I get assigned shares again at <$5/share! But I will still be playing options with this volatility as well. Just too good to pass up!
